Groviglio/Tangle
2015HD film projected onto handstitched, diamante relief, quilted curtain.
Groviglio/Tangle was made for Indefinable Cities, an exhibition at Airspace Gallery in Stoke on Trent, touring to Hiroshima and Osaka in summer 2015. A curtain comprised of diamond projections forms an outer wall and inside these soft rustications, a collection of fragments of film are projected; a tangle of flesh, stone and cloth. Began in Rome, this work has been made around the relationship of the senses to the architecture in the city.
