I’m interested in the processes of life: how things grow, change and evolve in nature and the man-made world. I’m particularly concerned with the increasing speed of change and the collision of natural and man-made, technology and nature. It seems that the meaning of “life” as a biological process and a state of being is changing in the light of 21st century technology, when scientists can create and manipulate biological life, technology can create artificial life, and inanimate objects often appear to take on a life of their own. These are the ideas that influence my work.

          Artist Statement

          I’m interested in the processes of life: how things grow, change and evolve in nature and the man-made world.
