The temporary artwork was created at Ramsgill Wood in West Cumbria in January 2022 and represents a significant development in my environmental art .Rather than creating responses that are flat in representation I have started to make the work look three dimensional even though it’s still two dimensional. I wanted to create a sense of illusion by using technical perspective drawing skills I learnt in High School and Art College and make the work come alive by making my responses look like objects rather than decorative patterns. The wood I work in has a plentiful supply of Beech and Oak trees which supplies a never ending twig and branch resource in which to harvest.
